Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hosts RAK Women in Business Forum 2015

Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized Women in Business Forum 2015 in collaboration with Dubai Quality Group for the second year in a row to strengthen ties between women professionals from across the UAE.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (22 April 2015): Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saaed Al Maktoum, Dubai Quality Group organized The RAK Women in Business Forum 2015 prior to the Emirates Women Awards 2015.The Forum celebrated the achievement of women who have excelled in their respective fields and set example to a whole generation of women in the UAE. The forum was held on 22nd April 2015 at Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Fahem Al Qasimi, Her Highness Sheikha Noura Bint Salem Al Qasimi and Dr Aisha bint Ali Al Sayyar, the second Deputy Chairwoman of Arab Businesswomen Council along with other dignitaries and business leaders.

The RAK Women in Business Forum 2015 connected women professionals from across the UAE to discuss aspects of leadership, innovation and opportunities for a sustainable economic future. The Forum was not only a valuable avenue for networking and business opportunities; it was also a platform for creating and implementing important strategic decisions in the Emirate and also across the UAE.

The interactive panel discussion was moderated by Mirza Mirely, Pearson International Relations, Al Thulahti. Panelists included Ms. Shaima Al Nuaimi, Jewelry Designer, Ms. Fatima Abdul Qader, Director of the Emirates Women Award and Sheikha Al-Ahmad. Other eminent attendees were Ms. Abeer Rasbi Director of Business Administration Program at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Ras Al Khaimah, Ms. Michaela Kisenbz Communications Assistant Director in Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority, Mrs. Maryam Mohammed bin Juma Al Tunaiji, Ms. Alaa Al Ameri, Lecturer, University College Academic Requirements and Guidance and Ms. Najwa Al Hammadi. Other guests included Sarah Abdul Wahab, Civil Member of the Board of Directors, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI)) , H.E Donna Massey (Trade and Investment Commissioner in the Middle East) and Ms. Cleo Eleazar, Director of Events and Public relations in the RAK FTZ. Mrs. Giovanna Bajani representative of Ras Al Khaimah Women's College and Ms. Susan Aiken Head of Nursing Staff, Ras Al Khaimah Hospital also attended the workshop.

RAK Women in Business Forum was indeed the perfect platform to share experiences and exchange information on empowerment goals, connecting women professionals from across the UAE to discuss aspects of leadership, innovation and opportunities for a sustainable economic future. The event was concluded by honouring participants and handing out trophies to achievers.
